DESCRIPTION

The Semiautomatic Closing machine for the application of crown caps is designed for the bottling enterprises that need a production capacity up to 500-600 bottles/hour*.
(*the actual production capacities of a manual machine strongly depend on the skill of the operator using it).

The machine consists of a base equipped with a closing turret and a bottle support adjustable in height; thanks to its regulation the format change in case of different bottle heights can be performed rapidly.

This corking machine is an effective option for the producers who need to apply crown caps on glass bottles containing fermented and carbonated drinks, sparkling wine, champagne, prosecco, beer, cider, and kombucha.

The crown caps are fed automatically by means of a vibration hopper supplying the chute. The closing assembly made of hardened steel takes the crown caps from the chute and puts them into the closing cone that can apply crown caps with diameter 26 mm or 29 mm.

When this machine is used for the production of Traditional Method/Méthode Champenoise champagne and sparkling wine, a “bidule” (PVC-free virgin polyethylene stopper perfectly adhering to the neck of the bottle to ensure tightness) shall be inserted into the bottle neck by hand before closing it with the crown caps.

All components of our machines are designed to be easily accessible and inspectable to facilitate their cleaning and maintenance thus ensuring a long life.
Like all OMBF machines, this model is entirely manufactured of stainless steel, food quality plastic materials, and steel alloys, in compliance with the regulations in force concerning the “Materials and Articles in contact with Food”, MOCA: EC 1935/2004 Regulation.

The machine conforms to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
